Sayenko Kharenko advised CME on sale of Studio 1+1 and Kino channels

Sayenko Kharenko acted as the Ukrainian legal counsel to Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. (CME) on the closing of 100% sale of CME Ukraine operations, including the Studio 1+1 and Kino channels, to Harley Trading Limited, a company beneficially owned by Igor Kolomoisky, which closed on April 7, 2010.

CME is a broadcasting company operating leading networks in six Central and Eastern European countries with an aggregate population of approximately 50 million people. CME’s television stations are located in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Sayenko Kharenko team for the current transaction was led by partner Michael Kharenko and included senior associate Taras Pryhoda and other professionals.
